Dog Walking At Dimmings Dale Near Alton Towers
A beautiful scenic walk and an absolute heaven for dogs that love water
The woodland walks of Dimmings Dale are a real treat and it’s a place I frequent quite often. It’s in between the villages of Alton and Oakamoor. There are directions to it below. It’s a walk that is also used by Ramblers but the ratio is about the same between Dog Walkers and Ramblers.
There are 2 main paths that travel through the woodland with an abundance of large still water lakes that lie between them. To compliment the walk there is a locally famous Coffee House known as the Ramblers Retreat. This has been running for years. Here you will find respite from the mornings antics along with the deepest Lemon Meringue Pie ever witnessed.
