Dog Walking At The Downs Banks Nature Reserve Near Stone Staffordshire
A little wilderness of woodlands and heath in the heart of the Midlands
Downs Banks or Barlaston Downs as I have always known it is perhaps the best walk that I have listed here. It has everything and on days that it’s cost effective I will always travel there. There is ample parking with a large off road car park that ensures the safety of your dogs when letting them out of the vehicle.
There are a multitude of paths and trails that each lead through woodland, open pasture and fresh water streams. On weekdays it is mainly frequented by dog walkers and the odd rambler, its quiet so to speak. Families do get there on weekends so be careful if you have a dog that might be interested in raiding the odd picnic.
It’s set out over a vast area and even though I may have up to 7 dogs with me I can still lose myself and be alone. How To Get There
